Overview: Aliter Technologies develops solutions in areas such as electronic warfare, tactical communications, autonomous systems, and critical infrastructure. While technically sophisticated, many of these topics are difficult to explain visually, especially to visitors unfamiliar with the domain.

My goal was to design a set of consistent web illustrations that unify Aliter’s visual identity, fit seamlessly into the dark user interface, and transform complex technological ideas into clear visual stories.

The final result is a series of vector illustrations that communicate complex business solutions clearly and effectively.

Learnings

The most important part of this project happened before any design did. Talking to the specialists first is what made the illustrations accurate rather than just plausible. In a field this technical, asking the right questions early on is as much a design skill as knowing how to draw.

It also pushed me to think harder about visual metaphor. A dome for protection. A globe for global connectivity. Signal arcs for radio waves. When you get the metaphor right, the concept lands straight away. When you don't, you just create confusion, or in a B2B context, doubt.
